Here is an instant Adam Sandler Classic from SNL, the Hanukkah song!

HANUKKAH SONG ORIGINAL

I was unable to locate the original SNL version, but found this live performance from a show Adam Sandler did in Chicago. (the only original versions were from people who video taped their TV – not the best quality)

HANUKKAH SONG PART 2

Unfortunately I can not find a version of part 2 suitable for putting here. If anyone has a link to the original part 2 version, please post the link in the comments and I will embed it here!

Wine Racks as a Gift

Over the past few days I have been doing some Christmas window shopping. Haven’t bought anything yet, but I’ll get there. Yesterday I stumbled across some interesting wine rack websites.  I have been thinking about possibly giving one as a gift this year. I am not much of a wine drinker, but I know plenty of people who enjoy a good glass of wine  and could use a place to store all of their “valuables”. With Christmas approaching and my shopping list not even broken in yet, I thought I would check online to see what I could find.

Honestly, I had no idea there would be so many options! One website I found, Wine Rack Store, offers racks in metal, redwood, and even plastic and in about any size you can think of.  Their racks can also be custom made to fit your space – great if you are buying for yourself, but tough if it’s a gift. “Hey Bob, I need to measure your basement”. “Why?”  “Um, no reason…”

My wife and I are both pretty inclined when it comes to assembling things. We used to be cheap Ikea furniture collectors, so we know the way around a box of parts. I assume that putting together a wine rack would be equally as intuitive, but this particular site offers video tutorials for those less “carpentry inclined.”

I have still yet to purchase any Christmas gifts, and not certain if I will buy a wine rack. Perhaps I will be cheap and boring and just give everyone $10 Walmart gift cards – although if I did that I am sure the wife would assign me to sleeping quarters in the living room for a few nights. If I do decide to pick up a rack I will definitely consider Wine Rack Store, especially with the free shipping.

Years ago, sometime around 1999 or there abouts, I was driving in my kick-ass 1979 Datsun 280zx. (I loved that car). I was with my buddy Jason and we were driving down the Dyke road (connecting Courtenay with Comox). We were listening to the following, and I had to pull over – I was laughing so hard I was crying and couldn’t see. Good times.

This is probably the best version of the “12 days” that has ever existed in the history of the world.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
