Saw this video and thought it was great. Quite funny. I haven’t seen Avatar yet, but I think this Thelma and Louise Sequel was quite well done and entertaining. Check it out!

brunoThis weekend I rented Bruno. Ya, I know this movie has been out for a while, but only now did I get around to seeing it.

I have to say that if you were a fan of Boart, you will LOVE Bruno. If you have not seen Borat and are easily offended, stay far far away from this flick.

Bruno, much like Borat, goes beyond the politically in-correct and could easily come across as extremely offensive. If you watch it with an open mind however, and leave your guards down, you will laugh and laugh and laugh. Probably one of the best laughs, if not the best, that I have had in the past year.

Sacha Baron Cohen truly does have balls. Some of the stunts he pulls off (such as interviewing a known terrorist and then offending him) are incredibly shocking. In all honesty I wonder how he survived the making of this film. Standing in a wrestling ring and hyping the audience to be anti-gay, and then making out with another man in front of the angry hillbilly rednecks come a close second to the terrorist. I for one can’t imagine where he gets his courage. Both scenarios’ could have wound up with him stuffed in a body bag.

If you have an open sense of humor and want to just sit down and laugh, then watch this movie. If you are set in your ways, have no sense of humor, or have a large stick stuck up somewhere, then stay far far away, as you will not enjoy it.

I for one loved it (as did my wife) and I would give it a thumbs up, 5/5 stars, or the best of whatever other rating system you choose.

Sacha Baron Cohen was on Letterman a few months back – I have a post with some clips from that appearance (as himself, and as Bruno) as well as the Bruno trailer on this post: “Bruno / Sacha Baron Cohen on David Letterman

If you are like me, you saw Borat. If you are like me you got something you didnt expect. My expectations for Boart were for a funny movie, but I certainly didnt expect the shocking nature and incredibly politically incorrect & offensive jokes – was this a problem? Hell no – I LOVED the movie, not sure I ever laughed so hard in my life! Probably the funniest off-beat thing I had seen since Jackass!. Now with Bruno in theatres I need to get out and see this. I need a good laugh.

The best part about these Sacha Baron Cohen movies is that they are “leave your brain at the door funny.” You have to be able to put your guard down and just be entertained. If you are offended easily, skip his movies – they’ll anger you – but if you are able to just sit back and laugh, then its probably a must see!

During my work day, my boss of all people shared the Sacha Baron Cohen David Letterman interview with me. What a great interview. It then led me to watch the Bruno trailer, and then the Bruno top ten list. What a great way to start the work day, with a good ‘ol laugh.

If you’ve seen the movie, PLEASE drop a comment with your review, I want to know if its really as funny as I am anticipating – I am sure it will be as offensive :)

I wanted to also display the official trailer, but embedding has been disabled over at YouTube, so here it is wrapped up in another post, just have to scroll ahead a minute or so to get to it:

iPhone Glitch Shares Privates

I read one of the funniest things ever today over at Wired.

A woman named Susan had used her husband’s iPhone and noticed a photo of his “special purpose” attached to an email in his “sent items” folder. The email was addressed to a woman with a Yahoo account.

She confronted her husband about this and he told her that, yes, he had taken the picture, but had never sent it to anyone – he said it was an “iPhone glitch” that randomly takes photos stored in the phone, and attaches them to emails located in the “sent” folder.

Susan then posted a question in an Apple support thread asking if this glitch is real, noting her marriage depends on the answer.

I think it’s time she looks for a good divorce attorney.

FYI: “Special Purpose” is how Steve Martin referred to his penis in the 1979 movie, “The Jerk”. …Just in case you were wondering.
